What is the connection between Chance the Rapper and all these other artists?

I jumped on the Chance the Rapper wagon after Coloring Book, so I am pretty late in the game, but I am just confused trying to wrap my mind around the different artists he works with and is affiliated with and who all he is connected to. What are the connections? Like The Social Experiment, Donnie Trumpet, Francis and the Lights, Taylor Bennett (OK that one I can figure out), Peter CottonTale, Vic Mensa, Noname, etc.... Like who are they all? Are they from Chicago? How did Chance amass such an amazing network of talent?
