TIFU by losing my friend's item worth 300$

This actually happened yesterday... So, I had burrowed a skin from my friend in a game called Counter Strike Global Offensive and this item is a knife skin (Butterfly Fade) that is worth 300$. I then received a request from a random guy and he tried to convince me to play on a website where he was an admin and where I would win big, etc and I ofc knew it was a scam so I didn't even bother and blocked the guy... On the next day, I receive a message from a guy that added me because he claimed he knew how to duplicate skins and I would get lots of money if we used my skin for this method, just bs and I didn't fall for this... Some hours later I was playing with another friend of mine and I get a message on my phone from my friend, who is the skin owner, saying that he was going to play and to wait for him. At the same time I receive an offer to get my skin back from my "supposedly friend" that owns the skin and I thought "oh he wants the skin back, yeah sure I can give it back to him". That's when I fucked up... Turns out the son of a bitch, the guy that I had on my friend's list for some time, copied my friend's profile and made me the offer for the skin... And I accepted it! He then sends me several messages saying "lol" and that it was a pleasure to do business with him and blocks me... I got so mad at this and thought how could I have not verifiied it was my real friend while I was on a voice call with him! I then explained to him what happened and he said he didn't believe me and I made a screen share, he then says that he is really sad that this happened and that it's not entirely my fault because he could fall for that too... What made me really mad and sad at the same time, is that my friend told me that he was going to sell the skin to get money for a trip with his girlfriend... And just in case, we are both 17 years old and we don't work, so 300 dollars is A LOT of money to us! We haven't figured yet how am I going to pay for it but oh well... Any help would be appreciated! (Sorry if did any writing mistakes but english is not my native language) TLDR: I got scammed and lost a skin worth 300$ that my friend handed to me
