Delidding i7-4790k

Hi, I'm wondering if someone has any experience with delidding a 4790k? What kind of temperature improvements will I be looking at?

I'm using a closed watercooler h100i gen 2, in an fractal design r5 case. The case is not thermal friendly, therefore I get pretty high temps. Around 65C when gaming.

I've ordered a delidding tool from Rockit and two new fractal fans, (for pushing more air throughout the case at the same noice level)

Any information would be appreciated!

Edit: my 970 strix gpu is running at a 71C OC'ed max whilst stress testing with 48% fan speed.
