Looking to build a $700-$1000 PC for professional video editing

I have zero knowledge of how to build a PC. I currently use an iMac desktop, and just discovered that you can't switch graphics chips or add RAM or anything like that. I need a faster computer to run programs like After Effects and Premiere and I work a lot with 4K video. Any advice you guys (and gals) have for me would be greatly appreciated.
