Refreshing OS Image

Our environment includes a number of run-time resources set up on Azure Virtual Machines. When we update our golden copy of this run-time resource, we need to redeploy our existing resources. We need for the IP addresses to be the same and to reuse server names.

We also want to re-image a machine as needed. For example, the run-time resource drifts from the golden copy and we need to reset it.

Any idea how to go about doing this?

We can't use scale sets; must use IaaS.
