[S3E8] So what about Maddy?

One character I'm wondering about is Maddy.

If Laura really was "created" by the Giant, as some are speculating, what was the significance of someone that looked identical? Did it matter they were cousins? Could there be many more "Laura"-like beings out there? Would they have to exist in the family?

I'm not expecting a return of Maddy in this series but I do have lots of questions about her and her significance, as the TP mythology expands. She feels often forgotten.
