Your opinions on Sakamoto?

I feel a little bit undecided on him because I feel like I don't know enough about the reasons people dislike him or the reasons people back him up. Any thoughts on his past influences to the series, any ways he's damaged the series, and his part in SR and how that could go in you opinion?
