How long should should it take for my checking account to reflect my payment made to the IRS?

I just assumed since its directly from my checking account that it'd show right away.

I paid last night at midnight and my bank still doesn't show the money taken out (not even "pending").

I double checked my account and routing number typed correctly.

today is the last day I can pay so I want to make sure if there's something wrong that I can fix it or if I should try again before the cutoff hour tonight (I know, shame on me for waiting until last minute but had no choice with lack of funds until last night
