I was #1 on /r/marketing for about 24h – these are the stats (Views, Visits, Opt-Ins, ...)
This one is going to be a bit meta – but I thought it's actually quite impressive (and share-worthy) how much traffic a subreddit like r/marketing can drive.
So my post about me starting to write free guides on technical marketing for beginners over at technicalmarketing.guide was #1 for about 24h. I kicked off my project on reddit, so there was basically no traffic on my blog before.
These are the current stats:
- Post-Views on Reddit: 1.2k
- 486 New Users on the website (GA data)
- That's a Post–CTR of 40,5% – that's pretty crazy.
- 0,68% CTR on the total subscriber count in r/marketing
- 6,4% CVR (31 New Newsletter Subscribers)
Here's a screenshot of the analytics data with all metrics
PS: Just built a small reddit rank tracker with a bit of google apps script, importxml and XPATH. Might be useful for someone here.
