Im [M/24] and I am wondering if I should text my ex[f/24] whom I dated for 5.5 years.

Me and my ex dated in high school. We broke up before college and about halfway through freshmen year we got back together. I transferred to her school and we dated until Senior year of college and broke up again. We have been broken up for two years. In that time she got a new boyfriend and dated him for 1.5 years and had an awful relationship (a few people told me it was bad). They have been broken up and I noticed that she is always looking at my snap chat recently. Would it be a bad idea to text her? We live about 100mi from each other and I was just gonna ask her if she wanted to catch up next time either of us are in the same area.
