Help! I'm a GM that has no idea how to prepare.
A group of five other friends and I are big into tabletop gaming, and I told them about how another group of mine had some fun playing pathinder a couple of years ago. They asked if I could GM, and even though I only played TWO SESSIONS, I did the idiotic thing and said sure.
Last Wednesday, I did a little bit of research, made a quick campaign, made everyone's characters on my own, and sat everyone down for what I can only imagine was a horribly bastardized version of pathfinder where almost everything was done on the fly. Although it was highly unorganized, each player only knew their own race and name (everything else I kept hidden from them since the story involved everyone being under the influence of some type of Amnesia Potion), and almost everything was improvised (and I mean almost everything), every single person, including myself, had a blast! A ton of fun!
Today, they asked me if I could prepare another session for this weekend, and I again tried to look up some resources to prepare myself, but I'm running into the same issue: every resource I have found that talks about how to GM pathfinder games feels to me like it assumes that you have extensive pathfinder experience.
(TL;DR TAGGING HERE) Are there any resources that can quickly explain how to GM a game and how to play pathfinder for someone with essentially zero experience in even playing pathfinder?
Thanks so much!
