Swap working Linux to a different computer?

I finally have Linux (Ubuntu) working great on one PC as a test, and would like to move the hard drive over to a different PC, instead of starting all over again. The different PC has more SATA ports and is a different (faster) Intel CPU. Should Linux be able to run correctly without too much trouble?
