Mass Effect 1

So I own just Mass Effect 2 I don't know how or when I got it but I do. I am unsure if I should buy the first one to along with the second. I Enjoyed Fallout New Vegas,Wolfenstein: The New Order, Overwatch, and Borderlands 2 if that is any help at all. Thank you
