PSA: if you spill even a little liquid inside your 2016/7 MBP (and don't have AppleCare+), the entire logic board and everything else will need to be replaced for a cost of $1300+ (depending on model)

apparently everything inside is basically one unit and all has to be replaced together, and there are strips inside that react to the presence of liquid. if there is any liquid damage inside they will replace everything (or so I've been assured by two techs). a word to the wise.

I got a little liquid in my trackpad and it was a bit wonky for awhile. I went to the shop and they told me it would be $1340 to fix. I've decided to wait and see if my trackpad heals itself instead for now...at the moment it seems to be working fine, hopefully I won't need to get the insides replaced, but it was a rude awakening to find out this is what it would cost.
