Pheromosa vs. Talonflame: Did the Battletree cheat me?

on first move of battle 40, Kiawe's Talonflame moves first and kills my naughty, choice-scarfed Pheromosa. Even with a neutral natured Pheromosa, Talonflame ought not be able to move first. I recorded the battle and Talonflame did not have a quick claw.

Am I missing something or did the BT straight up cheat me?
