[Achievements] FINALLY Walking!

So, my 16-month old son finally decided to take his first steps. He was always late to do anything regarding movement; rolling took a while, and crawling didn't happen until 11 months. Then again, he has always been big (25lbs at 1 year, 27lbs+ as of right now) He's been cruising since about 13 months or so, and kept teasing the wife and I with almost walking for weeks. At his 15 month checkup, our pediatrician examined him and said "he's certainly strong enough, so he can do it. He's just making sure that he can."

Well, as luck would have it, I took last week off to spend time with the family and take my son a few places. We happened to stop at my parents house and set him loose on the floor. He did his usual crawling and cruising, then all of a sudden he's walking toward the middle of the room! My wife cheered and scared the poor little guy lol.

I'm so very happy that I was able to see my son take his very first steps. I was afraid I would miss it while at work. The best thing is now we can let him explore outside a bit, just in time for the summer.
