¿Are 4gb of RAM enough?

Hey Reddit, Im planning on building a pc this summer, as im working on a tight budget I had the idea of buying a stick of 4gb of RAM and later adding another, as RAM prices have skyrocketed during the past months. And I have seen that is "enough" for gaming. ¿Anyother idea?
