Would anyone be interested in a Cover Art Olympics series of posts?

This is something a few of us have been talking about over on the discord recently, after a few interesting discussions on the sub about how cover art can differ between countries.

I'm not entirely sure how the logistics of this would work. I'm torn between different countries nominating their best covers for specific subgenres, or just comparing the different international covers of a single book.

Both have advantages. For the former, we could do this every year if it proves popular, with only books from that year eligible. The latter is probably much simpler to organise, although there may not be many books that have a lot of international editions.

In either case, the idea would be that we all vote on our favourite covers. Probably on a Google form, either picking our favourite from a bunch, or rating each cover out of 5.

Anyway, is this something that people would be interested in? If so, how do you think such a competition would work?

And hey, if anyone knows of any useful resources - maybe for checking all of the covers of a book, all of the languages it has been published in, etc. - please let us know!
