Sun Conure (female), Colorado

Mimi is a 7-year-old female Sun Conure. Her wings have never been clipped, and I want her to go to a loving home that promises not to clip her or lock her in a cage. She has a cage, but it’s only for sleeping and eating. I have perches with trays built into all of my windows, and she is used to having free reign. She goes outside with me and is allowed to play in the trees, but I recommend against that until she becomes very attached to you.

She’s a loving, sweet bird once she gets to know a person but wary at first as many birds are. Sun Conures can be noisy at times.

I’m in eastern Colorado. If you are in Colorado or a region of Kansas reasonably close to me, I will drive her to meet you. I want her to go to a safe, well lit, loving, non-smoking home that is experienced with parrots.

I do not seek a re-homing fee for myself, but I would ask that you make a $200 donation to a parrot rescue group of your choice and provide the receipt to me to demonstrate your seriousness.

My life and work circumstances have changed so that I cannot keep her and provide her the attention she deserves.
