Compilation of data regarding shill activity on reddit.

I am trying to come up with a one stop shop for those who are interested regarding shills, and raw data to support it. If you would like to add to it, or think you can improve upon it, please let me know.

The major demographic of reddit are millennials. http://response.agency/blog/2014/02/reddit-demographics-and-user-surveys/

http://www.journalism.org/2016/02/25/in-discussions-about-presidential-candidates-sanders-mentioned-far-more-than-others/

Though Sanders was less well known by the public than Clinton and Trump during the time period studied, he was mentioned in about 165,000 comments – more than Clinton (about 85,000) and Trump (about 73,000) combined. The number of comments naming Sanders rose over time, doubling between June (about 38,000) and September 2016 (about 85,000).

Prior to the DNC convention, Sanders had more comment volume than Trump and Clinton combined. He had the super majority support, and it showed clearly to anyone that frequented the politics sub or S4P.

Confirming Sanders popularity with millennials.

While Hillary Clinton dominated him among older voters, he dominated her right back among younger voters -- even winning more than 80 percent of their votes in some states against no less than the eventual Democratic nominee.

Overall, Sanders has beaten Clinton 71% to 28% with voters under 30 in the Democratic primaries, compared to Obama's 60%-35% margin over Clinton in 2008.

So we can establish that among millennials Sanders had a yuge following from that demographic.

Clintons current polling:

http://www.gallup.com/poll/212705/hillary-clinton-unique-no-post-election-image-gain.aspx

The latest poll, conducted June 7-11 2017, finds that a majority of Americans continue to view Clinton unfavorably (57%), as they have in all Gallup polls on the former first lady and U.S. senator since January 2016.

Clintons popularity has not increased at all, she has even dropped a few points since the election.

So why is it that Sanders is no longer the majority on reddit? The data hasn't changed.

Sanders current polling:

On July 11, Morning Consult released a poll naming Sen. Bernie Sanders as the most popular politician in the Senate, with a 75 percent approval rating.

So we know how popular Sanders and his positions are, yet politics is showing numbers that should not exist considering the raw data we're looking at. His ideals should still be the super majority it was prior to the DNC convention, yet it's not, not by a longshot. Single payer is getting shut down as well, an issue that only the staunchest of neoliberals would be against, yet it seems to be the prevailing view in politics. So how do you explain this data away? After the primary, many make the claim that Sanders supporters joined team Hillary, I do not think it to be the case, but for the sake of arguing let us say this is true. It still doesn;t explain the current dynamics of reddit, politics should've reverted naturally back to having overwhelming support for Sanders and his policies, that hasn't happened. None of these voting patterns match up with the data, it should be completely lopsided in Sanders favor, yet it's lopsided in the other direction. This isn't organically possible with the polling data.
