Theory: Quirrell hid the Ravenclaw Diadem for Voldemort

Discussion

Most people assume (I also did) that Tom Riddle hid the Ravenclaw diadem while he exited his interview with Dumbledore.

But I personally believe Dumbledore would have kept an eye on Tom while he was leaving Hogwarts at that moment, since the conversation got pretty intense.

I believe the diadem was (prior to Voldemort his death in Goderic's Hollow) hidden somewhere out of Hogwarts (maybe still Albania).

The moment Voldemort possessed Quirrell he comanded him to take the diadem with him and hide it somewhere in Hogwarts.

That way it was a bit closer to him so he could keep an eye on it while he was in a weaker state.

He might have even intended to take it with him again if he got his hands on the PS/SS but obviously failed at that which left the diadem in the room of requirement.

What do you think about this theory? Just thought of it so would like to know if plausible or if there are plotholes.
