Getting ready to apply to grad programs, not entirely convinced that online programs are ideal
I'm finding quite a plethora of online GIS degree programs- more so than those offered in person. This encompasses universities with good reputations, too. I do not doubt that some people find online learning to be more than adequate, particularly if they are also working. However, there is something to be said about being in a classroom and having some face-to-face contact with your professor, and networking within the department. Plus, I will be a student full-time. I am curious to know what the r/gis community thinks.
UPDATE: Anyone have information about environmental informatics grad programs and the field's job outlook? Should have mentioned that I am looking into that as well
