The Doctor shouldn't be a woman(at least not yet)

I feel this move was clearly done in the name of "equality". Which is stupid in itself because it's pandering. But it's also a little much. They did the whole gender change thing too much in such a short span of time and it seems like they are forcing it down our throats. You have the General (who turned into a black woman), the Master, and now the Doctor. Really? It's ridiculous. Another angle for why it's bad idea is the show is loosing steam. The quality and viewership of the show have gone down enormously since Smiths final season. I feel like this move will only hurt their ratings even more. Sure for the first episode or so there might good viewership, but the majority of those "feminists" who said they will take the viewership spots of angry fans who will no longer watch the show will most likely only stay around for the first few episodes. I don't care if the Doctor is a man or woman and I don't know if Jodie Whittaker will be any good. But I feel it was a stupid move. Personally I was pulling for Kris Marshall or Richard Ayoade.
