I was super excited to see a couple Jinhaos in a local shop, but then I saw the cost...

I was browsing a local store that carries random knick-knacks and fun novelty items (think socks adorned with cats in space, dryer balls shaped like hedgehogs, etc.) when I spotted them! There, in a display case, three Jinhao 599s (the Lamy Safari/Al-Star knock offs). Just to see a fountain pen out in the wild where I'm at is a big deal!

I was prepared to pay ~$6-$8 and I figured I'd go ahead and pick one up just for fun.

And then I saw their asking price...
$28.

Are they insane?! I feel bad for the poor soul who actually gets ripped off like that...
