Vyvanse Script for other state question

Hello ADHDers, I have question regarding to Vyvanse handling. I am transferring to my University this fall. To be specific, Washington, D.C. I am a California resident, it still will be my primary address because my partner still lives here. I spoke with my psychiatrist about it. She said she is not licensed for that state.

I want to avoid looking for a new psychiatrist and need to wait for 2 months or possible changes of med. I only plan to attend the university up to 2 years. My friend in Michigan did have her psychiatrist to give her mother a script and have it filled in Michigan and then ship that med to my friend in other state.

I spoke with my Pharmacist about having my partner picking up the script and dropping/picking up and then ship it to me in other state. My Pharmacist said it is ok as long my partner is on authorized list for my med. I asked if it is illegal to ship Schedule 2 drugs to other state? My pharmacist said it shouldn’t be.

If this is possible, then I would need to figure out how to do session with my psychiatrist. But HIPAA forbid the use of telecommunication device for sessions. I would need to speak with my psychiatrist about how to set it up or just see her in my vacation break. And, I would need to speak with my health insurance about setting up two health plans. One for California and one for Washington, D.C.

TL;DR : Plan to transfer to university to other state my psychiatrist is not licensed in. Legal way to ship med to me from my partner is possible?
