Does anyone else think Beth has probably cheated on Howard?
In her interview with Benjy, she admitted that she cheated on literally every single one of her ex-boyfriends. Howard gave the excuse that they had all treated her like crap... Yeah, right. Of course that's the way she would explain it to her husband, but jeez, I shiver at the thought of all the decent/ respectful guys that she cheated on probably with very little remorse. She said she was always "very sneaky in order to not got caught." I'd imagine it was about feeling power over her boyfriends - like she has the ultimate freedom to mess around, and doesn't have to be faithful in order to get the benefits of the relationship.
So, who else doubts that Howard is such a prince, treats her so amazingly well, and satisfies her so intensely in bed that she's never had the desire to have sex covertly as a way of establishing her independence/ freedom from Howard's constant domineering?
Obviously, the best counter-argument would be fear of getting caught, and the lost opportunity of money/ fame... But in a 17 year relationship, trust me, she's had plenty of opportunities to cheat. Everybody has the opportunity to cheat in a 17 year old relationship.
The reasons why she probably despises Howard:
-
He denied her the opportunity to have a baby, and she's clearly the nurturing type (obsessed with animals)
-
He's whiny, constantly complains, doesn't really act "manly" in a way that women respect
-
He's passive aggressive, undermines her a lot, pretends he's the "master manipulator" but of course she can see through his mind games
-
Their relationship was great from 2001-2008 because she was on her best behavior in order to get married... But in the last 5 years or so, how often has Howard talked glowingly about his marriage and Beth? How often does he talk about how much he loves her, about how amazing their sex is?
-
She doesn't love him, she never loved him, she was always seduced by the opportunity for fame (she loved the magazine covers, the photo ops, the TV hosting gigs, the Hamptons parties), and after Howard retires from the radio, I guarantee she divorces him within 2 years. Sadly enough, she fits the same profile as Jackie's wife (divorced in 2003, he left the show in 2001). Interested in fame, not love.
If you're dating a girl and she admits she's cheated on every single one of her ex-bfs... Holy shit, run for the hills!
