"Guns are not in naruto because they would break the verse." Debunk rant.

If someone uses this as a legitimate argument to downplay naruto characters call them out immediately. Seriously this accusation has no basis whatsoever. They claim that kishimoto said in an interview that guns would too overpowered in naruto but I did my research and came to find that none such interviews exist.This is the closest thing I found referencing guns. Unfortunately couldn't find the source.

When commenting on Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto said that he designed Konohagakure without specifying an era or location in the real world, noting that the village is "just a place in his head". Without a specific time period, Kishimoto included modern elements in the series such as convenience stores and movies, but specifically excluded projectile weapons and vehicles from the storyline. Regarding technology itself, Kishimoto said that "Naruto" would not have any firearms, yet one appeared behind a shopkeeper's desk on a page in Chapter 19. He said he may include automobiles, aircraft, and "low-processing" computers; Kishimoto specified the computers would "maybe" be eight-bit and that they would "definitely not" be sixteen-bit.

See it doesn't mention anything about guns being too overpowered anywhere. Infact as stated in that quote there is a gun sitting right next to the shop keepers desk. Ok lets disregard all of this and go purely by feats to determine whether or not guns would hurt anyone in the narutoverse. Heres naruto taking several hits from kiba and he only suffered minimalistic injuries. To put this in perspective this attack can break stone pillars with total ease and this is naruto in base. Ok how about another rock lee. Where he manage to survive gaara's sand and it broke a stone wall and he was just fine. Ok that's 2. But lets say in your twisted line of logic that the mc had plot armor and Im not fair for choosing one of the stronger characters in the series. Ok lets try Sakura Haruno who is legendary for being a joke in the series and you know what, let's only restrict ourselves to using part one feats. Alright here we have sakura withstanding being crushed by gaara in his jinchuriki state This is the same person whose sand is stronger than steel and this is a stronger version of gaara utilizing his tailed beast. Ok how about her surviving an explosion. I could go on an on and on so pray tell me how exactly is a gun going to solo all of naruto let alone shippuden? So even if we included guns they would be absolutely useless.  

So I guess the only question you have left is why aren't guns in the Naruto? Probably because seeing sasuke try to roll up on naruto with an ak-47 would break immersion or wouldn't be good for the worldbuilding of the series. I may take a dump on naruto(mainly post pain shippuden) but I will praise the worldbuilding. Some technical inconsistencies are fine if they enhance the story being told. It's not a fault of the series that it doesn't have guns it's just how the world presents itself into believability and that is one of the best praises I give the series. Rant over.
