Disconnected players still in game?

Played a few games, started noticing something I've never seen before. In 3 different games this week. I found players just standing still in random spots. In one game I found 2 of them. At first I though perhaps they were doing inventory management or something, i didn't get to loot those guys because of combat.

Then i killed one last night, he was just standing there in the middle of nowhere, I two tapped him and went in to loot, he didn't even have a weapon and there was only 20 people left. I'm wondering if players are getting disconnected but their avatar remain in the game till someone kills it or it dies to the gas.

Any one else see that?
