Mistrust
Don't be afraid, he'll tell you. That's what we do.
Rules are the games of day, but now we turn the dice.
And you will simper, and fall in love with being possessed.
And come dawn, he'll leave you with the cards that you picked.
And you don't sip
the wizard's spell.
It pours in the veins,
his poisoned chalice,
his specious hell.
Oh, the thoughts that you will have, in the heart of the night;
they'll carve you down with all your delight. And as you turn
to the side, the two sided sheets will weep what you missed.
And come dawn, he'll leave you with the pain that you pressed.
A callous game to play,
who we stab with ourselves.
A glass of wine
to calm your nerves,
but your fears...
your biased fears will
yell what they say.
