Paid for medication, had adverse reaction, can I call the company and get money back?

Not sure where to post this so sorry if this is the incorrect forum but I was prescribed medication that I had taken for 2 weeks. I paid $500 for it. Two weeks in, I had to go to the hospital for a serious incident and my doctor attributed it to this medication and told me not to take it any longer. However, I paid a great deal for it. If I place a call to the company regarding my adverse event, is it likely I can receive my money back, I am willing to send back my remaining pills too. Hopefully someone has been in a similar situation and can advise or point me in the direction of the correct thread to post this on. Thanks!

EDIT: I was looking to contact the pharmaceutical company NOT the pharmacist.
