[GEAR][NEWBIE] New strings squeaking

Hi, I just bought a new guitar (Martin Dreadnought Jr) and noticed the D and G strings squeak a decent amount when fingerpicking with my right hand. I'm guessing this will go away in time as the guitar is new but wondering if anyone had tips to speed up the process? Thanks
