Automatic Charging when entering car?

I've got a Audi A3 Sedan 2017 and when I go fill up my car or any other scenario where I exit my car and leave my phone in the charging cradle and come back into my car, my phone automatically charges without even putting the keys into the ignition, this caught me by surprise nice little hidden feature I think. anyone else's Audi do this?
