Bridging the gap between AW and on-foot.

Discussion

I'm sure many people agree that one of Archwing's biggest problems is how separate it is from the main game, with its own weapons, its own mods, and its own "frames" in the form of the Archwings themselves. But with PoE, we've seen the ability to use on-foot weapons in AW.

That got me thinking, what if the distinction between AW weapons and on-foot weapons was removed entirely? The current AW weapons could be relabeled as "heavy weapons" taking up both their main slot, and the secondary slot, to make them usable on-foot. In addition, we could get rid of AW weapon mods entirely, allowing regular mods to be used on them instead.

The problem comes with the Archwings themselves. They can't exactly be removed, since they offer unique abilities, and adapting the powers of regular Warframes to the three-dimensional space of AW would be an absurd amount of work. So Archwings would remain their own entity, overriding your frame's abilities. What about mods? Warframe mods could certainly be adapted to affect Archwings, but would they have mutual exclusivity like with sentinel weapons, or could they be shared between frame and wings? Or should Archwing mods stick around?

I'd like to hear people's thoughts on the matter.
