Newbie looking for advice

So I don't actually own the game yet, and I understand there are A LOT of veterans from PC on here, but I'm on console. I play PC games as well but mostly CSGO and Rust. Never really looked into the culling til I saw it on the Xbox marketplace a week ago. I played the 1 hour demo and I'm not gonna lie I really enjoyed myself. From what I'm reading here, the game has died out for a lot of you. I am going to buy Battlegrounds soon for PC and prob fro Xbox when it drops since all my friends are on console. But all the vets here, my question is it worth spending the 30 bucks on this game ? I feel like it'll be nice to carry myself through the summer til pubg comes out for console so I can play with my friends but what are your thoughts, cause idk if I want to drop 30 bucks ( I'm making it seem like a way bigger deal but I just hate buying games that I won't play ) on a game that will die out on me quickly. So what are your thoughts
