Bought 2 eth on coinbase today, would like to try other exchanges, how?

Woke up and saw the price getting killed so decided to buy 2 ethereum on coinbase using my credit card as funding source for which I paid 4% transaction fee apparently. I would like to experiment trading on other exchanges using these coins as funding. So I create a wallet and transfer it to the wallet then import the wallet to all the exchanges I am interested in? Do I need or is it recommended to have a different wallet for each exchange in case one gets hacked? Obviously I am dealing with a piker amount of money but I would still like to use best practices.
