Sponsors for meetups?

I run a programming meetup group in Brooklyn. It has less than 200 members. Recently I started looking into sponsorship but am not sure if it's a dead end.

Have any of you successfully sponsored your meetups? If so, to what extent is sponsorship viable? IE is it just that you host it at a pizzeria and they throw in a free pizza? Or are there bigger opportunities?
