Miles Morales: what will it take?

I was totally prepared to drop 800 shards for Miles but then they put him behind this crazy challenge.

I've managed to avoid starting his timer while I collect Green Goblin (should have him first thing Monday morning) and Silver Sable. But I only just unlocked Heroic mode for Neighborhood 2 and I imagine that Vulture will be even harder.

Is it worth even trying for Miles? What can I do to make a realistic attempt? Would Anti-Venom be worth it for the blue drops even though he's a poison?
