Thinking about going to an urgent care center for my anxiety. Should I?
I can't take this anymore. I've been in the process of moving and have been staying over a relatives house and I've been an anxious mess for a week. I can barely calm myself down. My main issue is my severe fear of throwing up and gagging, and I'm now afraid of the anxiety as well because I've read here and on online forums that it is very possible for that to happen from anxiety (has never happened to me out of the blue since I was a child unless gagging while nervous excercising).
I just don't want to gag or throw up. I basically REFUSE to. But my throat is so tight and I'm a bit nauseous. I've been experiencing this every day and I'm so miserable.
I don't know what urgent care could do for me (maybe prescribe an anti emetic or benzo), but I can't keep living like this. I want to sleep all day to avoid the miserable-ness of constantly feeling like I'm on the verge of gagging/throwing up. I have always had anxiety but it's never affected me for this long this badly.
So, should I go? Is it worth it? I'm normally opposed to meds but I can't take this. It's disrupting my sleeping, eating, exercising, and mental state. And i KNOW it's all in my head. I just can't seem to stop it.
