Game crash at adam's air force base

Hey everyone, I'm playing fallout 3 on PC and my computer is pretty crappy for games tbh, but usually this game has been fine, however, on the roof of the adam's base when the vertibird picks you up, my game crashes every time I enter the vertibird and you can't complete the mission without entering it so I'm not sure what to do now... Any ideas will be helpful.
