How do I water moss?

Hey guys! I made my first ever terrarium today and it is basically...well, moss in a jar. I have the stone base and soil and everything though.

But how do I water it? How much and how often? I guess moss likes to be moist and in the shade, but I don't know. And do I just water it normally or do I best spray it with water? Any tips and tricks are appreciated!

edit.: also, do I keep the lid on? it is made of cork. I guess to keep up the water cycle it is supposed to be closed?
