So after the most recent recent episode, a common theory is the the narrator is a person who witnessed the finale retelling the story (maybe old angus?). In the final moments, johans final song was broadcasted to all of existence.

I think that the intro song is a tribute to that song. Mort Garson exists in that universe, heard story and song and made Ataraxia.

This also plays into the fact that all Griffin McElroy content turns meta at some point.
