regrowth time from white to normal hair?

I had alopecia since november during a stressful time and lost quite a bit of hair. Due to change of lifestyle and dieting, I am seeing regrowth over these areas slowly, some parts have been white for months now. Does anyone know how long it take for regrowth to turn black?
