I may have met a regular of this place
This one isn't a big deal, but it was interesting to me so I hope it will be at least mildly amusing to you.
I was at work, unpacking boxes and stocking the shelves in Aisle 1. I had to leave the aisle for a minute, and when I came back, a man and his... probably wife or girlfriend, I'm guessing based on their interactions, were standing with their cart so that they blocked the path to the aisle. It's a small store, but still.
So I said, "Excuse me."
He looked up and said harshly, "What?"
"I need to get through, please."
"Oh." He moved aside. "I thought you were about to ask for something. And then I'd have said, you're talking to the wrong person! I don't work here." And he continued to harp on those points as I went down the aisle back to my boxes. I don't remember exactly what else he said, but that's what made it notable to me at least- that even after we established that I did not, in fact, mistake him for an employee, he continued to insist that he wasn't. I can only imagine how his other encounters have gone.
