Not counting blood, which is more annoying, haven or dshift?
I'm not talking about blood here, blood is a problem and we don't need daily posts reminding everyone constantly of that, so i'm talking about the two other potentially badly designed decks
Note I'm not really complaining about either but rather just trying to organize some thoughts
From my point of view, dshift is only painful for control decks and gets eaten alive by any low budget flood aggro deck, but haven not only can stop aggro by healing(especially with the new elena now), but also has the most effective single(scripture) AND group(themis) removal.
How come I see way more hate about dshift than Haven then? Sure Dshift is "not interactive", but so is seraph and especially aegis, TOS+ Mordecai can work against dshift and aegis but no amount of wards or life or anything will ever save you from seraph popping.
People say an average dshift OTKs you Turn 7 or something, but if you have played dshift tens and hundreds of times, Turn 7 is average if you draw dshift within the first three-four turns, and given that you don't die and don't have to give up combo pieces to survive. (And yes, I've seen T4 dshift in action before) Drawing dshift early does not happen often, at most around 1/4 to 1/3 of the times, and staying alive is even harder. Abomination is hard to use and too clunky as a reliable board clear.
For people who still are not convinced, read the numbers, Dshift last expansion had winrates in the thirties, while aegis and seraph all had at least about 45% winrate.
This expansion Dshift scrapes by at 45%, while aegis and seraph are approaching 50% (from today's shadowlog report).
Tldr: Taking an extra turn requiring a huge setup and card management and resources and not having any unconditional slap-in-the-face full board clears, and not even having a mini board clear(Lion spirit) is not ok and bad game design, but having the ability to delete your opponent's whole board and heal for days and drop down aegis(most interactable card in the game, for sure) or seraph(which would be very balanced in every single class except for haven) is perfectly fine.---- Seemingly what many people believe.
That's why I don't really get the hate for dshift.
Aegis and Seraph are perfectly fine cards and I don't believe they need any adjustments, I'm just commenting about the general style of play of havencraft. If anything, Neither Aegis nor Seraph is the problem, the problem would be cards like themis
