After a boring [0-0] (https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=onebox&v=_sXk7Zhn1l8) tie with Jamaica, Mexico will look to establish their dominance in Group C. First they must defeat the national team of Curuçao. This is their first participation in the the Concacaf Gold Cup(although they have participated in the previous format, CONCACAF Championship, placing third in 1963 and 1969). They qualified to this year's edition by winning the Carribean Cup over Jamaica.
 
Mexico is obligated to win, especially after their last performance, and qualify to the Knockout round as winners of Group C. As group winners, they would face the best 3rd place team of either group Aor B. Curuçao could pull and upset and win but the chances are very slim. Jamaica would have to narrowly lose to El Salvador to drop Mexico to a second or possible third place in Group C.
