Most people confuse facts and truth

Most people can’t differentiate between facts and truths.
A fact is something which is self-evident, indisputable and material in nature. A fact is undeniable and unambiguous. A few example of facts are
2+2 = 4 Speed of light is 3, 00,000 KM per second Earth is round Sun is hot Man is mortal Truth, however, is quite subjective.
Truth is defined as a fact or belief that is accepted as true.
Mahatma Gandhi connected God with Truth:
“I deal with truth first of all, as the Satyagraha Ashram owes its very existence to the pursuit and the attempted practice of truth. ..The word satya (Truth) is derived from Sat which means 'being'. Nothing is or exists in reality except Truth. That is why Sat or Truth is perhaps the most important name of God, In fact it is more correct to say that Truth is God than to say God is truth.”
Jesus Christ too said,
“If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8: 31-32)
However, the truth of Jesus Christ is not the truth of other messengers of God. Your truth would depend on whom you follow.
Truth is thus largely a matter of belief.
A few example of truths are
The universe was created with a big bang God created this universe A man convicted by the Supreme Court of the nation is guilty A man exonerated by the Supreme Court of the nation is innocent Truth is a matter of perception that emanate from your personal belief and understanding.
Since the perception and understanding of each person vary, there is bound to be arguments between people in the matter of their truths as each person would try to prove that truth is correct, while other’s truth is false.
There are many truths in this world as the famous philosopher Khalil Gibran said, “Say not, “I have found the truth,” but rather, “I have found a truth.”
