Anybody know much about train season tickets?

So, I'm moving to Edgbaston but keeping my job in Worcester, so I'm going to have to become a commuter and take the train from University every morning.

A season ticket seems the sensible thing, and ideally I'd like to get as much use out of it as I can. So I was thinking, if rather than a University-Worcester Shrub Hill Season Ticket, I got a Birmingham Stations-Worcester Stations, it'd give me a bit more freedom to get around at weekends, as it'd let me use either the Bromsgrove or the Kidderminster line.

Would I be able to regularly start and end my journey at University with such a ticket, or would I be in violation of the impossibly tortuous Conditions of Carriage?
