About the ending of the movie

Eclipsa's exact phrase was "once your enemy is killed , you must give me something in return" meaning her freedom. The fact that eclipsa's crystal is breaking means toffee is definetly dead (for good?) and not just incapacitated. If he just gets back up and is fine later without any dark magic I'm going to be pretty annoyed.
