The success of remasters/remakes

How successful do you think the remasters/remakes have been for square with bringing new fans to the series. The slogan for FFXV was a game for new and experienced players as they were really trying push the series onto a new set of players.
Do you think the X and 12 remasters have achieved anything like this also? And do you think the 7 remake will? And if so can we see the same treatment for 6,8,9?
