[PC][2008+] Newgrounds(?) platformer with 16 bit-esque music
Platform(s): PC, browser game
Genre: Platformer
Estimated year of release: 2008+ - as it was a browser game, I can't really be certain when it released, but I definitely didn't play it any earlier than 2008.
Graphics/art style: It was decently polished and vector-ish if memory serves right. It was pretty colourful, and had multiple settings, such as a beachy level and a dark cityscape (where the bonus levels took place)
Notable characters: I think the main character was a robot, out to rescue other robots? Honestly I hardly remember any of the game, I just remember that it had a brilliant soundtrack, and I want to find it again to listen to its music.
Notable gameplay mechanics: Levels had a focus on either finding certain things to rescue or just generically collecting things [i don't remember which], which the bonus levels focused entirely on (while putting you under a time limit)
Other details: It was almost certainly a somewhat popular game, judging by how well polished it was overall. It also had an overworld, if I remember correctly, rather than being stage-to-stage like other retro-esque platformer games are.
